point nepean and 8yrs of marriage

Today Grae and i have been married 8 yrs and since we couldnt go out for dinner we got indian takeaway. Omg this indian place called "spice club" is the best was so yummy.

We started the morning off with a stop at Sunny ridge strawberry farm. The boys got an ice cream there and i bought a couple of bottles of their strawberry wines. MMMMM they are delicious wines now on my fav list of wines.

Continued onto Point Nepean at lunch time. Stunning views up there and the kids got to go through the tunnels from ww1 and ww2. We caught the tractor train to the walk areas and back and even that was alot of hiking so unless your super dooper fit i wouldnt recommend the walk without the train ride up and back. I highly recommend people see the views if they get the chance. Were on our feet for probably 2 hrs or so. have lots of pics from there but will add them tomorrow when we have a quiet day at the caravan park as Graeme is getting the car serviced.

finished the arvo off with some laps of the pool and then took the kids to Frankston's park and beach for the kids to run amuck.

Think i will feel the last three days of hiking around tomorrow.

Dandenong Ranges

Today was a really nice day and one of our cheaper days lol. We went up to the dandenong ranges and went bush walking through the forests. Very pretty much like rainforest's. The mountain ash trees were way bigger than those in Walpole. The boys loved the bush walks and we had a picnic at Sherbrooke falls.

Afterwards we went up the road to William Ricketts Sanctuary to see his clay sculptures. Ashton loved running through the Forest finding them. we then went out for devonshire tea.

after all our hiking we went a bit further up the rd to the dandenong ranges lookout which also has the sky high maze. We are all now maze masters, lol. Ethan guided us around the maze.

This evening went for a walk along the jetty and then had a BBQ at the caravan park.

enjoy the pics of William rickets carvings. I highly recommend anyone coming over here to get up to the Dandenong Ranges. Off to the mornington peninsula tomorrow.

Melbourne Aquarium

What a hot day it was in the city today. We caught the train to Flinders st in Melbourne where we walked to the aquarium, was very good but a bit over priced i think. Ashton loved the sharks and i adored the penguines, they were all fluffy and so cute. Headed to the Queen victoria markets afterwards by tram but didnt get much of a look there as ash was so hot and tired so we headed back to melbourne central to catch the train back. Kids liked the train and tram ride today, something different for them.

When we arrived in Frankston it had become very stormy, power was down and i have just checked the weather forecast and we are up for up to 50km/h winds tonight. A bit worried about that after our windy encounter in Port Lincoln but not much we can do. camper is pinned down with the annexe fully up now. fingers crossed the winds dont get to 50 km/h though. In for nice weather the next few days though and planning to go to the Dandenong ranges tomorrow.

Here are some pics from the aqaurium and the beach ( port phillip bay) taken yesterday, enjoy.
